Graston Technique

Graston Technique is a ground braking procedure that effectively breaks down scar tissue, adhesions, fibrotic change and reduces inflammation that causes pain, dysfunction and restricted mobility.

Used only by certified physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists and athletic trainers the stainless steel instruments comb over and catch on fibrotic tissue, which immediately identifies areas of involvement.  Once located continued coming breaks down the scar tissue so it can be absorbed in the body.  This means that the technique is both diagnostic and therapeutic.

Chronic myofascial pain syndromes that have caused pain and restricted motion for years that have failed to respond to any other therapy can often be eliminated or greatly improved in just six to seven procedures!

By incorporating stretching, strengthening and ice we can rebuild the soft tissue injury into healthy functioning tissue.

As a certified Graston Technique physician, Dr. Parks has treated hundreds of patients over the past nine years saving many dozens from months of physical therapy, cortisone injections and surgical interventions and more importantly a lifetime of chronic pain.

"After two years of suffering from sleepless nights and decreased mobility due to increasingly painful numbness and cramping in my low legs and feet, I was finally diagnosed with neuropathy by a neurologist who told me there was no cure. It was shortly after that I went to see Dr. Parks, who after doing a careful examination, began treating my problem using the Graston Technique. The results were immediately positive! After the first treatment (and for the first time in many months) I was able to curl my toes without inducing cramps in my feet and sleep through the night without waking with cramps. I’ve been receiving treatments for several months now and my condition continues to improve. I can honestly say Dr. Parks and his application of the Graston Technique has been a game changer for me".
